While a college student at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Chris Carneal recognized the need for schools to have an alternative to traditional product sales to raise funds for their schools. The idea for a student-led, values-centered, fitness-based fun run was born. In the spring of 2002 our first partner school, Shades Mountain Christian, experienced the Boosterthon Fun Run. The Boosterthon Fun Run was an instant success. The school raised 50% more than their fall product sale.
As a company we have been blessed with great growth opportunities. We currently serve over 200 schools and have 50 enthusiastic, hard-working, character-driven team members. Our goal, as a company, is to change the world by impacting students, resourcing schools, and encouraging and serving all with whom we are in contact.
